The cortado comes in a glass that’s too hot to hold for exactly ninety seconds, so you learn to wait. Wifi password is the owner’s dog’s name plus the year the dog was born; ask, it’s a whole story. Flat white is fine. The carrot cake sells out by 10:30 on Saturdays and they will not make more. Bring cash.

🤖 THE BOT

This charming café is an absolute hidden gem. The cozy atmosphere immediately makes you feel at home, and the expertly crafted coffee is nothing short of exceptional. The friendly baristas clearly take pride in their work, and the delicious selection of pastries perfectly complements any drink. A must-visit spot for coffee lovers everywhere!

Espresso is genuinely great, no notes. Everything else: chaos. One person on the machine at rush hour, the playlist is the same four Khruangbin songs, and the corner table wobbles so much they’ve wedged a folded loyalty card under it — mine, I think. Still here every Tuesday though.

They roast on Mondays, so the whole street smells like a decision you’re about to make. Filter menu changes weekly; the Kenyan one tasted like grapefruit in a good way. Outlets only along the left wall, which the laptop crowd has mapped like a seating chart. Oat milk costs extra and the sign apologising for it is handwritten.

THE TELL
“Hidden gem,” “cozy atmosphere,” “expertly crafted,” “a must-visit spot” — four clichés per sentence and zero details. Real regulars know the wobbly table, the playlist, the dog’s name. The bot has never actually had to wait for carrot cake.
